"The Fly Ash Threat"

In response to a December 22, 2008 event whereby a dike of a containment pond ruptured, spilling more than 54 million cubic yards of coal ash slurry, the EPA finds themselves asking for more authority over regulating than the law currently allows.  The EPA's proposal currently classifies fly ash as hazardous under predefined conditions.  To read more on this article and how to contact you congressional representatives - Click here.

Stronger, More Economical, Safer

The first new Florida-I Beams, know as FIB’s, were recently fabricated at Standard Concrete Products plant in Tampa, FL. FIB’s are the result of cooperation among FDOT, Academia, and industry in an ongoing effort for a improved beam design. The FIB’s bring the Florida prestressed industry and FDOT back into the leadership position in design and fabrication technique in the US.

The 3rd. International fib Congress &
PCI Convention/Bridge Conference
